SECUR's complete, high-performance management team is made up of Bernie Seguin, John Lemay, and Catherine Chandler - three professionals with complementary skills in sales, technical engineering, administration, customer relations, and more. The partnership between Bernard Seguin, John Lemay, and Catherine Chandler is a great success story. The secret to their success is their blend of personalities and skills.

John Lemay, Sales Manager/CFAA

John's strength lies in his sales skills, customer relations skills, as well as his management skills, which he learned from his father while working with him at The Fire Protection Centre over the years. John has over 20 years of managing and selling fire protection products/services within the greater Ottawa region. John cares deeply about his clients and is devoted to building and maintaining good, long-lasting relationships with them.

Catherine Chandler, Team Leader

Catherine diligently manages the financial side of the company, always on the look out for investment opportunities and determining new ways to grow the business. Catherine has over 15 years of managing the office and accounting services within the company. She also has extensive experience in the development of technical documents, procurement documents, emergency plans, evacuation procedures, and training seminars.

Bernie Seguin, General Manager/CFAA

Bernie is the force behind the technical aspects of the company. He brings advanced technical skills, with a deep understanding of technology, programming, codes, and permit processes. He is also the ideal person for dealings with general contractors, engineers, and architects.

Bernie has over 20 years of experience in the industry. After completing a two-year electronic engineering program, Bernie started his first job in 1981 with NTI as a Simplex product distributor. In 1984, he moved on to become a technician in the fire alarm segment for Simplex. After a year, he was promoted to be an engineer specialist, traveling across Canada. By mid-1985, he had climbed the ranks to become Service Manager of Simplex in Toronto, in charge of all of the service departments. In 1991, he was sent to work in Montreal, managing all of the sales from Montreal through the East coast as their Sales Director. In 1997, he returned to the Ottawa area and managed the sales department for Simplex until 2000 before starting his own business in 2001.

Our Team

SECUR is the third largest fire and life safety company in the greater Ottawa area. While we have been growing considerably each year and currently have 15 technicians on staff, we have been able to maintain a "small business mentality," which both our clients and our employees appreciate greatly.
